Diabetes Ireland are delighted to announce that we have been nominated as one of Munster Rugby’s Official Charity Partners for the current season.
Over the season Munster Rugby will be working closely with us to raise awareness of our key messages and funds for our services.
Commenting on the announcement Claire Cooke, Munster Rugby CSR Project Manager said, “This season we hope to make a real difference for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, Diabetes Ireland and Haven.
“With so many deserving charities it is always a difficult process in selecting the nominated charities each season and where possible we will continue to support additional charity initiatives.
“As with every season our objective is to increase awareness and raise funds for our nominated charities who do such wonderful work in Munster, Ireland and abroad. We look forward to working with them this season.”
Gary Brady, Fundraising Manager Diabetes Ireland added, “This is fantastic news for us and will provide a unique platform for us across the coming months to communicate our key awareness messages to the Munster supporters and beyond. It will also provide us with additional opportunities to promote the services offered at our all new Diabetes Care Centre which was opened this past June in Cork City.
This follows up on our Official Charity Partnership with the GAA in 2015 and hopefully the future will see many such partnerships being secured by Diabetes Ireland”.
Stay tuned to our Social Media and newsletters to see opportunities that arise for our supports from this partnership across the coming season.
