19 September 2017 Diabetes Ireland has received reports from members of the general public regarding a number of young people undertaking on-street collecting in the Smithfield  and Dorset Street areas of Dublin around the time of the All Ireland Football Final last Sunday. These people were not representatives of Diabetes Ireland nor were they authorised to collect on behalf of the charity. We have informed An Garda Siochana about this issue.

At this weekend’s All Ireland Ladies Football Finals, Diabetes Ireland will not be undertaking on street collecting in Dublin. We are asking people to be vigilant and if in doubt about the authenticity of any person collecting, don’t give, and report it to An Garda Siochana.
