To celebrate World Diabetes Day, we will once again be holding our “FREE TO ATTEND” Diabetes Health and Wellbeing Exhibition at the
Riu Plaza, The Gresham Hotel, 23 Upper O’Connell Street, Dublin 1, on Sunday, 10th November from 12:00 pm.
This event is Ireland’s largest health and wellbeing event for people living with diabetes and we expect a huge attendance. The theme of this year’s event is “Living Life Well With Diabetes”.
Available on the day will be free Blood Pressure Checks, Type 2 Diabetes Risk Assessments, Weight and Waist Circumference assessments and CPR Introduction sessions plus a range of diabetes education workshops that will run throughout the day. These workshops will be specifically for people living with Type 1 diabetes including children and their parents and for people with Type 2 diabetes.
Diabetes Education Workshop Streams
Our education focus this year is on optimising your daily management and updating you on good techniques/practices and new information updates.
From a Type 1 diabetes perspective, the focus will be on the availability and benefits of diabetes technology in managing your condition.
From a Type 2 diabetes perspective, the focus will be on daily living covering issues such as understanding your annual blood test results- Should be understanding your annual blood test results.
