Diabetes Ireland has today launched a new initiative to provide PPE to Integrated Diabetes Nurse Specialists who support GPs in the provision of services to people with diabetes.

We are in a very fluid environment and diabetes services are experiencing significant capacity issues at present as the health service deals with the COVID 19 pandemic. Access to PPE is still a huge issue and through this initiative we can help ensure that diabetes healthcare professionals can continue to safely provide much needed appointments to people with diabetes ensuring that risk exposure is very much reduced for both parties.
