Ask the Experts about Your Diabetes

Have you ever wanted to sit face to face with the diabetes experts outside of a hospital setting to learn more about your condition? Diabetes Ireland is delighted to offer you this opportunity. We have gathered four experts from a variety of fields in the area of Type 2 diabetes to answer YOUR questions. The meeting is being held in Castlebar, Co. Mayo on Wednesday 13^th February  @  7 pm – 9 pm.

On the night, each expert will give a 5 minute introduction on their topic. Following this, you and fellow attendees will be divided into small groups (no more than 12) at a round discussion table. Our experts will move from table to table in rotation for a 15 minute Question & Answer sessions. This allows for easy conversation and a chance to ask them questions about your diabetes, or just to listen in.

 The experts and their topics are:

Consultant Endocrinologist: Dr Brosnan –  “Medical management of Diabetes”

Community Diabetes Dietitian: Ms Dearbhla O Hanlon – “Latest Dietary Guidelines for managing Diabetes”

Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Diabetes –  Ms Corena Campbell – “Understanding your numbers; why blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels are so important” 

Senior Podiatrist: Mr Conor Cahill – “Tips for Self-Management of your feet’
