Structured education course for Type 2 & Pre-diabetes  

The programme is facilitated by Ms. Pauline Dunne, Senior Dietition with Diabetes Ireland  and consists of 4 sessions of 2 hour duration.  The first 3 sessions take place over 3 consecutive weeks Westside Community Resource Centre, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway, H91 C1KX (Next to Westside Library / Church) .

Week 2: Thursday 23rd  April   from   2:00 pm – 4:00pm

Week 3: Thursday 30th April   from   2:00 pm – 4:00pm

Week 4: At 6 months     Thursday 24th September 2020  from 2:00pm – 4:00pm

CODE is free of charge.

Topics covered in CODE include diabetes explained, risk factors, signs and symptoms, healthy eating, physical activity, personal goal setting, complications and the necessity of regular follow up and the importance of optimal diabetes control. The six month session looks at the review of achievements and personal goal setting. Our flexible approach allows the sessions to be tailored to meet the self identified needs of each group.
