Structured education course for Type 2 & Pre-diabetes  

The programme is facilitated by Diabetes Ireland, Regional Development Officer and Senior Dietitian, Ms. Pauline Dunne and consists of 4 sessions of 2 hour duration.  The first 3 sessions take place over 3 consecutive weeks Doon Community Centre, Limerick.

CODE is free of charge.

Topics covered in CODE include diabetes explained, risk factors, signs and symptoms, healthy eating, physical activity, personal goal setting, complications and the necessity of regular follow up and the importance of optimal diabetes control. The six month session looks at the review of achievements and personal goal setting. Our flexible approach allows the sessions to be tailored to meet the self identified needs of each group.
