Diabetes technologies like Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM), insulin pumps, and hybrid closed-loop systems are transforming the lives of people with Type 1 diabetes. Just a few years ago, access to CGMs was limited, and awareness of insulin pump therapy was low. Today, there is unprecedented access to CGMs and hybrid closed-loop ‘artificial pancreas’ systems are becoming a reality.
