• “Good Eye Health & the Diabetic Retina Screen Service

  Dr Mark James, Consultant Ophthalmologist, Cork University Hospital

• “Carbohydrates and how to control blood glucose: What do I need to know?”

              Ms Shirley Beattie, Senior Dietitian, Cork University Hospital

• “Understanding my numbers; why blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels are     so important”

  Ms Trish Coady, Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist, Cork University Hospital.

• “Tips for self-management of your feet”

   Ms. Mary Adams, Podiatrist, Cork Care Centre, Diabetes Ireland,

On the night, each speaker will give a 5-minute introduction on their topic. Following this, attendees will be divided into small groups (no more than 12) at a round discussion table. Diabetes experts will move from table to table in rotation for a 15-minute Q&A sessions. This should allow for easy conversation and give you the opportunity to ask them anything you like about your diabetes, or just listen.
