Diabetes Ireland is delighted with the huge number of people who tuned into our first webinar for 2022. The guest speaker on the night was Dr Mark Davies, Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Belfast City Hospital.
400 people attended the virtual event on Wednesday evening discussing Emotional Well-being and Diabetes. Dr Davies covered topics such as diabetes burnout, Type 1 highs and lows, Type 2 feelings around diagnosis, strategies for coping with stress, how to support your child with diabetes and their mental health, and much more.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who participated by sending their questions and sharing their diabetes experiences and for the positive feedback received;
“I have type 1 diabetes and thought it was excellent, a tonic in many ways also. Thanks, you once again, and don’t ever underestimate the benefits of your efforts.”
“I would like to thank everyone at Diabetes Ireland for last night’s zoom meeting.”
“Thanks for a lovely talk last night, it really lifted my spirits up, all the best.”
“Hi, I enjoyed the talk last evening on type 1 and type 2 diabetes and the emotional consequences of each diagnosis for parents, children, and all involved.”
Diabetes Ireland would also like to thank Dr Davies for speaking at the webinar event and Novo Nordisk Ltd for supporting this webinar.
