If you are looking for the classic Camino experience, this is the perfect tour for you! You will be walking the last 100kms of the famous Camino Francés from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela over 7 days, across the green rolling landscapes of rural Galicia. The trek will take place from 5th September to the 20th September 2020.
The trip is open to anyone of any age as long as you can manage walking 20kms on average daily. It’s important to mention that everyone is free to make the journey at their own pace, in their own company or with others. It’s your Camino and yours to complete as you wish.
You begin your Camino trip from Sarria, the most popular Camino starting point, and you walk the last stage of the Camino Francés over a week. Led by an experienced tour operator, Camino Ways, this 8 day trek is the perfect trip for solo adventurers or groups of friends.
From Sarria to Santiago de Compostela, the Camino trail passes through wooded areas, farmlands and hamlets, as well as historic towns and cities. This route travels along the river Miño (Galicia’s longest river) and stop to visit the Romanesque Church of Santa María in Castromaior.
The last section of the Camino will bring you to Santiago de Compostela. You will visit the tomb of St James in Santiago de Compostela Cathedral and explore this gem of a small and vibrant city which will enchant you.
A registration fee of €250 will secure your place; you will be required to raise an additional fundraising target of €1,745, which includes: return flights, accommodation, lunch and evening meals, internal luggage returns, guide and support team including a diabetes nurse specialist.
