BACKGROUND: Diabetes Ireland is the national charity dedicated to helping people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and their families. Through its professional staff and network of volunteer support groups, Diabetes Ireland provides a wide array of services which covers all aspects of the condition under the key organisation pillars of Education, Support/Care, Awareness and Research.
They are now seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to join their committed team.
THE ROLE: Reporting to the CEO, the Fundraising Manager will develop and implement an annual fundraising plan to maximise income from a variety of sources in line with Diabetes Ireland’s fundraising strategy. We are seeking a confident and experienced individual who can work across the fundraising mix. The successful candidate will be expected to have 5 years’ experience in a fundraising role with particular focus on corporate partnerships and community fundraising. This role also requires:
- Proven experience of planning, managing and reporting on budgets
- A proven track record of meeting financial targets
- Demonstrable experience of contributing to the strategic planning process
- Experience designing and delivering presentations and securing new business
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Type: Full time, permanent
Location: Santry, Dublin
Salary: circa €50,000 – dependent on experience
