Theresa has been living with Type 1 diabetes for a long time, but she does not allow it to define her. Originally from West Limerick, Theresa was just three years old when her mother took her to the hospital suspecting Type 1 diabetes. Despite showing no symptoms, Theresa’s diagnosis confirmed that her pancreas was still producing small amounts of insulin, as noted by her doctor.
