Diabetes Ireland is seeking podiatrists (full-time and/or part-time) and invites applications from suitably qualified podiatrists for its diabetes footcare services in Santry, Dublin, and Mary Street, Cork City.
As a Podiatrist, you will have the vision and drive to provide optimal diagnoses, and treatment (or referral pathways) in order to improve outcomes for patients who are at risk of or have developed foot complications. As part of our team, you will be responsible for the commencement, development and continued provision of a quality, responsive and effective podiatry service to prevent deterioration in foot health.
Postholders will support the co-ordination of the day to day running of the service, manage a varied caseload of patients, ensure adequate clinical records and statistical information are maintained, have instrument decontamination and sterilisation responsibilities and responsibility for recording and updating of notes following assessment and treatment of patients.
Many of these patients have Diabetes and have or are at risk of Diabetic Foot Disease. Many are also from other care groups such as Vascular, Rheumatology, and Neurological, which also require High-Risk foot care management. These posts are open to candidates who will obtain a BSC in Podiatry in 2025.
