Diabetes Ireland’s
Teen Activity Day is back!
This year, for teenagers living with diabetes aged between 12-16 years, we have booked 2 Activity Centres for a day of fun and adventure on Friday 5 July 2024.
The aim of the day is to bring together young teenagers living with diabetes to have a fun day and to meet other teens with diabetes. Over the years, our teens have made lifelong friends and we really hope you will join us on the day and become part of our growing Teen Type 1 Diabetes community.

About the Day
The day will run from about 11 am to 4 pm at each centre. During the day, participants will undertake water-based and land-based activities. Healthcare professional support will be available at each centre throughout the day. A hot lunch and snacks will also be provided.
We will run buses from a number of locations to each of the activity centres where we have adequate numbers. Currently, we are planning buses from Cork and Wexford Hospitals to Dunmore East Activity Centre and buses from Letterkenny and Dublin to Lough Key Forest & Activity Park. Further information on the bus routes will be made available nearer the time. The buses will depart each location at 8 – 8.30 am and return 6 – 6.30 pm in the evening.
