Diabetes Ireland and Helium Arts are hosting a filmmaking workshop for young people with diabetes aged 12-17 on Saturday 2nd December. This workshop is part of Diabetes Ireland’s programme of activities for young people and is free for all participants.
Young people will have the opportunity to learn film skills through a hands-on introduction to camera operation, story creation and improvisation with the support of professional artists and filmmakers from Helium Arts.
The workshop is taking place in Mount Druid, Castletown in Co. Westmeath and transport can be provided for young people coming from Dublin, Kildare and Mullingar, depending on numbers.
This is a full day workshop from 10.30am to 4pm. Participants are advised to bring their own lunch; suitable drinks and snacks will be provided.
